More Logos on Freelancer.com!
Freelancer.com! Wow, how useful it is to get my works moving. While other websites and sources bring the buyers to me, by this website I choose my clients and work for them competing with other designers. The feature I love in this website is the contests section, where hundreds of people post their requirements on graphic design. We, designers compete in them and build up our reputation with sweet rewards.
Well,, these are some logos I made for people from Freelancer.com and others. But instead of posting these works each individually, I'm putting these logos together.
Gaming Kurt | Shield Logo
Had a gaming friend (BlackEye) who suggested me to his another friend who needed a logo. So, did this work for his gaming channel, Gaming Kurt.
Strappd | App Logo
This is the my first work on Freelancer.com that won the contest (Contest Link). There were a total of 3 entries to the contest, in which all the three were mine. :P But, the contest holder liked my work and made me a winner. Did some app screen designs and icons too :3
To You Cafe' | Simple Logo
Yet, an other work for a contest (Contest Link). The client gave the contest participants a rough sketch of what he has been looking for and I drew out this piece of work for him. This doesn't impress him as the logo did not meet his requirements. Anyways, no work in designing is waste of time :3
Lookout Tavern' | Signage Logo
Did my part of work here (Contest Link) for the logo. This is more of a signage thing that couldn't be used in all places (because of the arrow that wouldn't fit always a right direction when placed in a menu card or anywhere else). So, that's the reason on rejection of this, I think :3
HD' | Minimalist Logo
As the contest holder asked for a specific meaning to be included in the design with minimalist designing, I did these logos for him. The requirement is that, the logo should include this meaning, "Move Forward" in the design. So, I pulled out these designs for the contest (Contest Link). But, sadly these works got rejected as the contest holder didn't like it. More than 100 entries were made by freelancers, and there came a winner, which didn't quite look well as other submitted designs :(
Australian Gaming | Minimalist Logo
Some other custom works for a website on gaming community. Did two variations for the contest (Contest Link). The contest holder liked the work, but an other great work popped up and won the show.
This logo is re-developed from one of the older logos I've made and re-tuned it fitting the theme of the client's website.
_____________________
Freelancer.com provided me the medium to choose the clients I want to work for from the contest listings. Out of 10, at least 8 of my works will eventually get rejected or outrun by another great submissions. This is actually bad, you think. Even I think that my time on working these designs which get rejected is disappointing. But only, when I start competing with other designers in these contest, I'll know my capabilities in rendering the correct design concept. There's still a lot more of things to be doen at Freelancer.com and let me try submitting designs for another contest. Maybe I'll win this time by better designing.
There are people, who would simply reject my work without any proper feedback. But that is how, clients work. They take designing as what they get by paying rather than considering it an art.
